Clarke makes his curry with LAMB (most other places in the Karoo use mutton). The curry was as good as…
We had dinner at this restaurant which was very enjoyable. A fireplace keeps guests warm on cold winter evenings. The lamb is superb. Excellent food served very distinctive with great mannerism.
Tasty meats complimented by fresh vegetables and rounded off by a light and refreshing black cherry vanilla ice cream cake. Just enough to send you home with appreciation for food masterly prepared.
Mike Clarke of restaurant Clarke of the Karoo fame has moved one street up from the Barrydale Hotel to the Mud Gallery building on Route 62 (Ladismith Road). Stopped for a bite and Mike’s food is as excellent as ever.
Stopped for a quick lunch when passing through Barrydale driving our vintage cars. . Mike was on hand for personal attention and his curry was delicious. His new restaurant is very convenient on the through road with lots of parking in front and very comfortable. Restrooms were clean and convenient for travelers.
